Interpol silver notice helps 82 countries identify 36 million euros in assets
Interpol rolled out the Silver Notice to let 196 member states share information to locate and seize criminals' assets—cash, crypto, cars, property and more—with 82 countries already identifying at least €36 million in illicit wealth through trials. The first notice was requested by Italy for a mafia member, and officials say the system, trialed since January 2025 and set for full adoption in Hong Kong in November, will enhance cross-border cooperation and recover a larger share of hidden funds.
