Phoenix officer thrown as SUV crashes into precinct
A Phoenix police officer was injured when an SUV crashed through a fence at the Mountain View Precinct, throwing the officer from a parked squad car; the officer is in stable condition and the driver is suspected of impairment as investigators continue. The incident was one of two Friday-night law-enforcement crashes in Phoenix, with a second crash near 19th Avenue and Interstate 17 sending a detention deputy and three inmates to the hospital.
