Commanders reportedly release Moody as Stevens wins starter
The Washington Commanders released kicker Jake Moody after a training-camp competition, designating undrafted rookie Drew Stevens as the team's kicking option for now. Stevens, who set Iowa records for field goals, will handle kicking duties going forward as Moody seeks opportunities elsewhere.

Jake Moody is an American professional football placekicker for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). Moody played college football for the Michigan Wolverines, where he won the 2021 Lou Groza Award. He was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round of the 2023 NFL draft and has also played for the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders.
