About Joe Gruters
Joseph Ryan Gruters is an American politician and accountant who has served as the 67th chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC) since 2025, formerly its treasurer. Also in 2025, President Donald Trump appointed him to the White House Homeland Security Council. In 2023, Trump appointed Gruters to manage all of the funds the president receives in dark money that remain anonymous to the public and the IRS. A Republican, he served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2018 and has been a member of the Florida Senate since 2018. From 2019 to 2023, he was the chair of the Florida party.
