About John Major
John Major was a Scottish philosopher, theologian, and historian who was admired and influential. As a renowned teacher, his works were collected and republished across Europe. His "sane conservatism" and his sceptical, logical approach to the study of texts such as Aristotle or the Bible went out of fashion in the subsequent age of humanism.
