Yankees Acquire Schreiber on Waivers for ~$600K
The Yankees are set to claim right-hander John Schreiber off waivers from the Royals, adding the 32-year-old reliever who has appeared in 55 games this season with a 3.65 ERA to their bullpen as he becomes an impending free agent. The move comes as rosters expand and the Yankees have open spots on their 40-man roster, allowing the claim without a corresponding roster move, with Schreiber still owed the remainder of his 2026 salary.
