Kenneth Branagh to star in Paramount+ series Laird
Paramount+ has greenlit the drama Laird, a modern Scottish Highlands saga starring Kenneth Branagh, who also serves as an executive producer; the series is created by Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth, and Georgia Lee, with Joe Wright attached to direct the pilot. The story centers on the Laird of Castle Drummoch defending his ancestral lands from a shadowy American billionaire, and the project is positioned as a standalone series separate from the Yellowstone universe.
