ISU revokes neutral status for Valieva and Kondratiuk amid war concerns
Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva has had her neutral athlete status revoked by the ISU, barring her from competing internationally for now as the organization reviews potential breaches tied to previously supporting Russia’s war in Ukraine, with appeals possible to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Her teammate Mark Kondratiuk is also affected, and the ISU-ordered appeals are due by mid-next week, with CAS as the next recourse if unchanged.
