About Mary Elizabeth Ellis
Mary Elizabeth Ellis (1881–1974), often known as Mrs Gwilym Davies, was a Welsh peace activist. She was among the first women to hold professional positions of relatively high status in the field of education administration and governance in Wales. She was involved in educational and cultural organizations or movements, including, Bangor University the women's section of the Welsh League of Nations Union and Urdd Gobaith Cymru.
