Colorado Sues GEO Group Over TB Investigation
Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser filed a lawsuit against GEO Group for failing to comply with state public health orders and provide information in the tuberculosis investigation at the Aurora ICE Processing Center, citing risk to public health. The suit seeks emergency injunctive relief to compel disclosure as health officials say the company’s noncompliance jeopardizes the investigation, while GEO maintains there are no active TB cases and that authorities are involved on the federal level.
