
REC Q1 FY27 Net Profit ₹4,149 Cr
REC Ltd reported a Q1 FY27 standalone net profit of ₹4,149.46 crore, down 6.8% YoY, with improving asset quality and a first interim dividend of ₹4.25 per share, while consolidated results rose to ₹4,192.76 crore on ₹14,469.49 crore of income. The board also approved a merger by absorption with Power Finance Corporation, set at an 88-for-100 share exchange and an appointed date of April 1, 2027, along with related governance updates.

Power Finance Corporation Ltd. (P. F. C.) is an Indian central public sector undertaking under the ownership of the Ministry of Power, Government of India. Established in 1986, it is the financial backbone of Indian power sector. PFC's net worth as on 30 June 2023 is INR 1,184 billion. PFC is the 8th highest profit making Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) as per the Department of Public Enterprises Survey for FY 2017–18.
