About Sir Harold Mitchell, 1st Baronet
Sir Harold Paton Mitchell, 1st Baronet, JP, DL was a British businessman and Conservative politician. He was born in Carnock, Fife, as the eldest son of Alexander Mitchell (1871–1934) and Meta Mary Graham Paton. Alexander Mitchell was a grandson of William Mitchell, a Scottish entrepreneur who co-founded the Alloa Coal Company.
