‘You’re Wrong’: Crenshaw Heckled for Saying the Election Was Not Stolen

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) was heckled at a fundraising event after he stated that former President Donald Trump did not lose the 2020 presidential election because of widespread fraud.

During a fundraising event, Crenshaw said, “There’s certain cities with problems but don’t kid yourself into believing that’s why we lost. It’s not.”

As the Texas Congressman spoke, a man identified as Bobby Piton, a candidate for U.S. Senate in Illinois, can be heard saying, “[I] can’t tell if he’s joking or serious.”

“You’re wrong,” Piton said.

Crenshaw responded, “I’ll tell you openly… I’m not wrong.”

Piton asserted that he has “plenty of proof” of widespread fraud in Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.

Crenshaw appeared to have previously interacted with as he noted that Piton has asserted that hundreds of thousands of fraudulent votes were cast in Arizona.

“Guess what? It’s going to turn out, and it’s going to flip. You watch, you’re going to see first hand,” Piton said as he claimed a review of the election results in the state would find that there was widespread fraud and show that Trump won the state.

Crenshaw shot back, “It won’t, and you gotta flip all five states to make it work. I’m not going to argue with you on this… I’ll say it openly. This is something you’ve got to accept. Is there are a lot of voter fraud? Yeah, there probably is. Enough that Trump won? No, absolutely not.”

“You’ll see,” Piton said.

The Congressman did not appear swayed as he said, “Five different states? Hundreds of thousands of votes? You’re kidding yourself.”

Trump lost Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin in the presidential election and failed to secure 270 electoral votes. He has alleged that widespread fraud cost him his reelection bid.

Despite his claims, several recounts and legal challenges failed to change the outcome of the election. The Supreme Court refused to take up lawsuits challenging the results twice.
