Country singer Zach Bryan asked for prayers from his fans after an incident with law enforcement.

Bryan explained in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he had gotten into an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He was arrested on charges of obstruction of investigation, according to KOMO News.

“Today I had an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol,” Bryan wrote in his post. “Emotions got the best of me and I was out of line in the things I said.”

“I support law enforcement as much as anyone can, I was just frustrated in the moment, it was unlike me and I apologize,” Bryan said. He was taken to jail where a mug shot was taken of him.

In a separate post, Bryan explained in a video that he wanted to be “transparent” about the incident, explaining he had been an “idiot.”

“Around three days ago, I was driving through this small town in Oklahoma, and this is the beginning of all this. And I drive by this cop. I was going like four or five over, and he pulls me over,” Bryan explained. “Comes to my window and the first thing he asks for is license, registration, and my address.”

Bryan explained he informed the cop he was a musician and didn’t feel “comfortable” giving out his address.

“So he says, ‘If you don’t give me your address, I’m going to have to take you to jail,'” Bryan added, saying he refused to provide his address and was asked to step out of his vehicle and was placed in handcuffs.

The cop allegedly questioned Bryan as to why he wasn’t giving out his address, to which Bryan eventually complied and gave the officer his address. “He finally took my handcuffs off, he gave me a warning, because I mean wasn’t going super fast.”

“Fast forward to today. I wake up, and I tell my security guard, ‘Hey, man, I’m going to drive to Boston today to see the Birds play,'” Bryan explained, adding that as they were on their way, he saw his security guard get pulled over behind him.

After driving around the corner and driving up behind them, Bryan waited for 10 to 15 minutes before getting out of the vehicle to smoke a cigarette. Bryan explained the officer told him to get back in his car and he got “lippy” with the officer and was later placed in handcuffs and taken to jail.

“Prayers we can all move on from this and prayers people know I’m just trying the best I can,” Bryan wrote in his post. “I love you guys and I am truly sorry to the officers.”
