Responding in real-time to the news that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) was suspending her presidential campaign, Andrew Yang praised her as an “amazing human being.”
During an appearance on “The View” on Thursday, Yang — who is now a political commentator on CNN — shared details about a call he got from Warren when he suspended his campaign.
“I got calls from many of the other candidates when I suspended my campaign, and Elizabeth’s call to me was so magnanimous and generous. And she had a tough night herself that night in New Hampshire and you never would have known it.”
“She’s an amazing human being, an amazing leader behind the scenes as well,” he added.

Yang agreed, “She would have made a great president.”
Yang added that he does not think that Warren would endorse either former Vice President Joe Biden or Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vt.) for a “particular period of time.”
Warren announced on Thursday that she would suspend her presidential campaign after she failed to win her home state of Massachusetts on Super Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday afternoon, Warren said she did not plan to endorse any candidate yet, “I want to take some time to think a little more.”
