PresidentĀ Donald Trump is giving himself a good grade for his response to the coronavirus outbreak.

A reporter asked Trump on a scale of one to 10 how he would rate his response to the crisis.

Trump replied, “I’d rate it a 10.”

He added, “I think we’ve done a great job… I’d rate ourselves and the professionals. I think the professionals have done a fantastic job.”

Watch his response below:

The president has received criticism in the past for his response to the outbreak. During Sunday night’s Democratic debate, Sen.Ā Bernie SandersĀ (I-Vt.)Ā commented on Trump’s response, as IJR previously reported.

ā€œFirst thing we gotta do, whether or not I’mĀ president, is to shut thisĀ president up right now,ā€ Sanders said.

Former Vice PresidentĀ Joe Biden additionally wrote a CNN op-ed where he claimed he would do a better job than Trump responding to the virus, as IJR previously reported.

He wrote, “But I can promise you that when I’m President, we will prepare better, respond better, and recover better.”

Earlier in his briefing, Trump announced new guidelines for Americans to follow.

These guidelines include students working from home when possible, avoiding group gatherings of more than 10 people, avoiding voluntary travel and avoiding eating and drinking at restaurants.

While several restaurants and bars are closing, multiple states are still holding their primaries amid the outbreak.

Three states including Arizona, Illinois, and Florida, will be holding primaries on Tuesday. Ohio made the announcement to delay its primary until the first week in June.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) tweeted late last night about the closures.

He tweeted that they will be closed “due to the risk of [the coronavirus] faced by both voters and poll workers.”

The Senate is mulling a coronavirus bill that includes paid sick leave, additional funds for food assistance programs and access to free testing. Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) proposed an additional $750 billion to address the crisis, as IJR previously reported.
