Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) is ending her 2020 presidential bid and endorsing one of the Democratic primary contenders left in the race.

Gabbard made the announcement on Wednesday in a video posted to Twitter, where she tossed her support behind former Vice President Joe Biden (D).

“Today, I’m suspending my presidential campaign, and offering my full support to Vice President Joe Biden in his quest to bring our country together,” she said.

She also noted that following primaries in three states on Tuesday, “it is clear that Democratic Primary voters have chosen Vice President Joe Biden to be the person who will take on President Trump in the general election.”

“I’m confident he will lead our country guided by the spirit of aloha, respect, and compassion.”

Despite Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) being top contenders in the 2020 Democratic primary race, Gabbard stayed in the race, even as other presidential hopefuls dropped.

As of polls conducted up until March 16, the Hawaii representative had been polling in the single digits, far behind Biden and Sanders.

As for the delegate count, Biden is leading with 1,180 delegates as Sanders follows behind with 885 delegates — out of 1,991 delegates needed to win the nomination. Gabbard grabbed 2 delegates before she dropped her 2020 bid.
