First lady Melania Trump is in the clear after she tested negative for the coronavirus.
The results were first announced during a Coronavirus Task Force briefing held at the White House.
A reporter pointed out that President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence have both been tested, as well as second lady Karen Pence. She then asked if the first lady had been tested.
“Yes. She’s great. She’s fine. Negative. Yes, negative,” Trump replied.

White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham told CNN that the first lady had tested negative for the coronavirus at the same time as her husband.
“Mrs. Trump got tested the same night as the president was tested, out of an abundance of caution,” Grisham said. “The test was negative.”
Trump also tested negative, as IJR previously reported.
The results come amid the continuous spread of the virus across the globe and as U.S. lawmakers are scrambling to come up with solutions.
With Congress working to pass a coronavirus aid relief bill, Democrats are working to make sure they have a say in what is included in it.
Republicans blasted Democrats for the measures they wanted to add to the package, including additional provisions for employed workers and regulations on corporations, as IJR previously reported.
Democrats were also accused of trying to pass the Green New Deal above the relief package, prioritizing that over the well being of Americans.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin voiced his opinion that he is confident lawmakers can reach a decision and that they are “very hopeful that this can be closed out” on Tuesday, as IJR previously reported.
Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) also believes the Senate could vote as soon as Tuesday.
Total cases across the globe have reportedly reached at least 396,000 with a total of at least 46,000 in the United States.
