Former 2016 Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina is breaking her silence on who she may be tossing her support behind in the upcoming presidential election.
Fiorina sat down for an interview with The Atlantic where she revealed she is not willing to vote for President Donald Trump and hopes Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden understands this is a moment for leadership.
“I’ve been very clear that I can’t support Donald Trump. And, you know, elections are binary choices … I will say this: I think—I hope—that Biden understands that this moment in history calls for him to be a leader, not a politician,” Fiorina said.
She was pressed on whether or not she will vote for Biden.
“Well, it’s not ’til November. I’m not voting for Trump, but it’s a binary choice. So if faced with a binary choice on a ballot: yes,” Fiorina said.
Trump took to Twitter to weigh in on Fiorina’s comments.
“Failed presidential candidate (thank you President Trump!), Carly Fiorina, said she will be voting for Corrupt Joe Biden. She lost so badly to me, twice in one campaign, that she should be voting for Joe. No complaints!!!” Trump tweeted.

Fiorina discussed Biden’s character, as she shared how he has displayed admirable traits throughout his life.
“I am encouraged that Joe Biden is a person of humility and empathy and character. I think he’s demonstrated that through his life,” Fiorina said.
Biden has continued to gain momentum.
He is expected to accept the Democratic party’s nomination at the scaled-back Democratic National Convention in August, as IJR previously reported.
According to The New York Times/Siena College survey, Biden is gaining support in key battleground states.
The poll shows Biden “with leads among registered voters in Florida, Arizona, and North Carolina and with double-digit leads in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.”
