Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is suggesting 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is not telling Americans the truth about how he plans to run the country if elected.

McDaniel appeared on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” on Wednesday where host Sandra Smith started out by mentioning an ABC News poll showing the “enthusiasm gap” between President Donald Trump and Biden.

The poll shows 74% of Trump supporters mainly support Trump while 24% mainly oppose Biden.

On the other hand, 41% of Biden supporters mainly support Biden while 56% mainly oppose Trump.

Smith asked McDaniel how this translates to votes for Trump.

McDaniel explained to have 41%, mainly supporting Biden is “really dismal.”

Watch her comments below:

If Joe Biden is elected, taxes are going to go up. It will cost more to drive a car and heat your house.

His embrace of Hollywood and the far left will come at the expense of the American economy, and we must defeat him in November! pic.twitter.com/3bLoUcb7xe

“The fact that he’s hiding in his basement, the fact that he won’t take tough questions, and they’re running a campaign of fiction. I mean last night I thought this is fiction, fluff, and fantasy that we’re seeing from the Democrats,” McDaniel said.

She added, “And there is no policy being put forward to the American people. They’re not telling you: you’re taxes are going to go up under Joe Biden. It’s going to cost you more to drive a car and to heat your house, and he’s going to destroy the American economy.”

McDaniel reiterated that she thinks Biden’s campaign is not being truthful about the policies he is presenting.

Democrats formally nominated Biden at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday evening, as IJR previously reported.

The convention featured a handful of Republicans praising Biden.

Cindy McCain, the wife of the late Sen. John McCain, discussed her husband’s friendship with Biden.

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell also spoke on Biden’s behalf.

The convention will resume at 9 p.m. Wednesday evening where Sen. Kamala Harris (Calif.) will make her speech as Biden’s running mate.
