The Commission on Presidential Debates announced on Tuesday the topics President Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden will discuss during the first debate.

Chris Wallace, the moderator of the first presidential debate and host of “Fox News Sunday,” selected the following topics: the Trump and Biden records, the Supreme Court, COVID-19, the economy, race and violence in our cities, and the integrity of our election.

The first presidential debate will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 9 p.m. at Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Six 15-minute segments will be “dedicated to topics announced in advance in order to encourage deep discussion of the leading issues facing the country.”

There will be three presidential debates and one vice presidential debate, as IJR previously reported.

The second presidential debate will be held on Oct. 15 at Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida, and moderated by Senior Executive Producer and Political Editor for C-SPAN Steve Scully.

NBC News White House Correspondent Kristen Welker will moderate the third presidential debate on Oct. 22 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenessee.

The vice presidential debate will be held on Oct. 7 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah, and moderated by Washington Bureau Chief of USA Today Susan Page.

According to a USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll released on Sept. 6, 47% of Americans polled believe Trump will win the presidential debates, as IJR previously reported.

On the other hand, 41% said Biden will win the presidential debates.

Thirty-five percent of respondents to the poll, conducted from Aug. 28 to Aug. 31, are Republican, about 32% are Democrat, and 27% are Independent.

Forty four percent of those polled are confident Trump will win the presidential election, while 41% say Biden will win.
