Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is tearing into Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) for failing to speak out against white supremacy.
Cruz took to twitter to slam Ocasio-Cortez for joining the “radical left.”
“Biden may be the Democrat Party’s nominee, but we know who is driving the train,” Cruz wrote.
Ocasio-Cortez fired back, “I must say, Ted Cruz making poorly executed memes while riding in the quiet car of the White Supremacist Express is pretty on brand for both him and 2020.”

Their exchange comes just days after President Donald Trump failed to condemn white supremacist groups during the first presidential debate.
Ocasio-Cortez warned Americans Trump is a threat to the nation because he is racist.
“Donald Trump is a white supremacist. People have been warning about this for a long time,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
She added, “They were ridiculed, called hyperbolic and radical – not bc they were wrong, but bc others couldn’t accept that our country elected a supremacist as President. This is fascism at our door.”

Cruz also exchanged jabs with CNN’s Chris Cuomo over Trump’s remarks, as IJR previously reported.
“Now, I will exercise my right and say, was the president wrong to go soft on the proud boys in the debate last night?” Cuomo asked.
Cruz wished Trump was “much clearer in his denunciation,” but was “glad today that he walked that back.”
Cuomo quickly replied, “No he didn’t.”
White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany insisted Trump denounced white supremacy during her press briefing on Thursday, as IJR previously reported.
She told reporters his record on condemning white supremacy is “not mixed in the slightest.”
According to McEnany, Trump has done “quite a bit” to combat white supremacy.
The reporter continued to challenge McEnany.
“We’re not having a debate on a cable news network right now. You need to let me finish,” she said.
