President-elect Joe Biden is cracking jokes about the Trump campaign’s demands for multiple recounts in Georgia.

He started by thanking residents of Georgia for “turning out in record numbers” in November.

“Thank you for the faith you put in me and Vice-President Elect Harris and thank you for standing strong to make sure your voices were heard, your votes were counted, and counted, and counted again,” Biden joked during a campaign event for Democratic Senate candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock on Tuesday.

He added, “I’m starting to feel like I won Georgia three times. I have to say it feels pretty good. You know… I think all of you just taught Donald Trump a lesson. In this election, Georgia wasn’t going to be bullied. Georgia wasn’t going to be silenced. Georgia certainly wasn’t going to stand by and let Donald Trump or the state of Texas, or anyone else come in here and toss out your votes.”

The Electoral College solidified Biden’s victory on Monday, as IJR previously reported.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany told reporters Tuesday the president is moving forward with his legal challenges.

“The campaign would have more specifics for you on legal recourse, but yesterday was one step in the constitutional process leading up to the Jan. 20 date in the Constitution,” McEnany said.

The Republican attorney general of Texas filed a lawsuit seeking to overturn election results in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

The Supreme Court rejected the case and claimed Texas “has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another state conducts its elections.”

Biden slammed Sens. David Perdue (R) and Kelly Loeffler (R) for backing the Texas lawsuit.

“You know who did nothing while Trump, Texas, and others were trying to wipe out every single one of the almost 5 million votes you had cast here in Georgia in November?” Biden asked.

He continued, “Your two Republican senators. They stood by. In fact, your two Republican senators fully embraced what Texas was telling the Supreme Court.”
