President Donald Trump is citing his “most admired” man accolade as evidence to support his claim the presidential election was “rigged.”

The president quoted Mark Steyn’s comments from the author and columnist’s appearance on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” to back his argument for stolen votes.

“‘Barack Obama was toppled from the top spot and President Trump claimed the title of the year’s Most Admired Man. Trump number one, Obama number two, and Joe Biden a very distant number three,'” Trump wrote on Twitter on Wednesday morning.

He added, “‘That’s also rather odd given the fact that on November 3rd, Biden allegedly racked up millions more votes than Trump, but can’t get anywhere close to him in this poll. No incoming president has ever done as badly in this annual survey.'”

Trump continued with his own commentary on the remarks, “That’s because he got millions of Fake Votes in the 2020 Election, which was RIGGED!”

Twitter added a flag to the tweet, “This claim about election fraud is disputed.”

According to the Gallup poll released on Tuesday, 18% of the participants said they admire Trump the most, 15% backed former President Barack Obama, 6% selected President-elect Joe Biden, and 3% chose Dr. Anthony Fauci, as IJR previously reported.

In 2019, Trump tied Obama for the honor.

Forty eight percent of Republicans expressed their admiration for Trump in 2020 compared to 32% of Democrats for Obama. Thirteen percent of Democrats said the same for Biden.

Trump still refuses to concede the election. Last week, he stressed the need for a special counsel to look into his baseless allegations of widespread voter fraud, as IJR previously reported.

“After seeing the massive Voter Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election, I disagree with anyone that thinks a strong, fast, and fair Special Counsel is not needed, IMMEDIATELY,” Trump wrote on Twitter.

He continued, “This was the most corrupt election in the history of our Country, and it must be closely examined!”
