President Joe Biden is suggesting Republicans are in the midst of a “mini-revolution.”
A reporter asked Biden on Wednesday, “What does it say about [Republicans] if they oust Liz Cheney from leadership for telling the truth about the election.”
Biden replied, “It seems as though the Republican Party is trying to identify what it stands for, and they’re in the midst of a significant sorta mini-revolution going on in the Republican Party.”

Biden was asked earlier Wednesday upon leaving Las Gemelas restaurant where he was highlighting the successes of the American Rescue Plan, “Do you have any comment on the efforts to oust Liz Cheney from the House Republican leadership post?”
The president responded, “I don’t understand the Republicans.”
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki delivered a similar message during the White House press briefing on Tuesday, as IJR reported.
“The Republican Party seems to be spending a lot of blood, sweat, and tears trying to figure out where they stand and what they stand for,” Psaki said.
She went on, “It’s no secret that the president doesn’t see eye to eye on many policies with Congresswoman Cheney. His view is that the American people elected him and also many people representing them in Congress to solve problems for them and he’s going seek civility even when he disagrees.”
House Republicans are expected to vote to remove Cheney from her leadership position. According to one source, they could vote as soon as May 12.
Cheney has received criticism from several Republicans, including from former President Donald Trump.
In a statement on Wednesday, Trump called Cheney a “warmonger.”
He argued she “has virtually no support left in the Great State of Wyoming, continues to unknowingly and foolishly say that there was no Election Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election when in fact, the evidence, including no Legislative approvals as demanded by the U.S. Constitution, shows the exact opposite.”
