Actor and comedian Seth Rogen is calling Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) “a terrible man” whose “words have resulted in death.”
Stephen Colbert pointed out Rogen’s recent Twitter exchange with Cruz.
Rogen tweeted, “If you’re a white supremacist fascist who doesn’t find it offensive when someone calls your wife ugly, Ted Cruz is the exact motherf****er for you.”
Colbert asked Rogen, “So it’s not a feud, it’s just passing harsh judgment?”
He replied, “Feud implies equal ground … If someone’s trying to murder someone with a baseball bat and someone is yelling at that person to stop, is that a feud between the baseball bat wielder and the person yelling at the baseball bat wielder?”
Rogen continued, “I don’t know if that’s a feud. Feud implies two people hitting each other with baseball bats.”

Reiterating Cruz is a “fascist,” Rogen added, “He denies the reality of the election, his words caused people to die and I’m making jokes about it. Is that a feud? I don’t know. To me, it doesn’t seem like a feud. To me, it seems like I’m pointing out the fact that he is a terrible man whose words have resulted in death.”
Using another baseball analogy, Rogen explained, “It’s like if you’re playing baseball against a team and you’re trying to get a lot of runs and the other team is trying to bludgeon you to death, is it shocking that you’re not scoring as many runs as maybe you should be scoring?”
He added, “No, the other team is just trying to beat you to death with baseball bats, you know.”
The “feud” between the actor and senator began after Cruz criticized President Joe Biden’s decision to rejoin the Paris climate accord.
“F**k off you fascist,” Rogen tweeted.
Cruz responded, “Charming, civil, educated response.”
Rogen proceeded to tell Cruz, “Go encourage a white supremacist insurrection again you f**king clown.”
