ABC News’ chief legal analyst Dan Abrams believes Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance’s investigation into the Trump Organization will lead to at least one indictment.

During an appearance on “The View” on Tuesday, Abrams claimed that “all signs point to a likely indictment” of somebody as a result of the investigation into the Trump Organization.

He went on to note the fight for prosecutors to obtain former President Donald Trump’s tax returns, “the hiring of a very high-profile prosecutor” who left a “very cushy job” to work on the investigation, and the convening of a grand jury last month.

“You don’t get a special grand jury like this unless they believe they have evidence of a crime. So all the evidence, all the signals are towards a likely indictment of someone,” Abrams said.

Abrams’ comments come a week after Vance convened a grand jury in his investigation into the Trump Organization.

The Washington Post reported that the district attorney is looking into whether Trump manipulated the value of his properties “in a way that defrauded banks and insurance companies, and if any tax benefits were obtained illegally through unscrupulous asset valuation.”

According to the paper, the move to convene a grand jury “suggests, too, that Vance thinks he has found evidence of a crime — if not by Trump, by someone potentially close to him or by his company.”

Co-host Joy Behar claimed Trump “has gotten away” with impeachment, “inciting a riot at the Capitol,” and former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged collusion between members of the 2016 Trump campaign and Russian operatives.

Abrams said the examples Behar cited had a specific “lane” that they were confined to. By contrast, he said Vance’s investigation is “different” because it is not looking into Trump’s actions as president but rather as a private citizen.

“So in this sense, he’s being treated just like everybody else, which makes this a very different kind of investigation than every other one you mentioned,” he added.

Still, Behar appeared unconvinced that an indictment is likely for Trump because he is a former president.
