Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) insists that a review of the election results in Arizona did not actually confirm that President Joe Biden carried the state and that the real winner is unknown.
On Thursday, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) asked Biggs, “Do you accept this audit which shows that Joe Biden won and indeed by more votes…”
“That is not what the audit concluded, Mr. Raskin, you know better than that. Have you read the whole audit?” Biggs responded.
As the Arizona Congressman went on to argue that the review did not actually say Biden won, Raskin asked, “Who won the election in Arizona, Donald Trump, or Joe Biden?”
“We don’t know,” Biggs answered. “Because as the audit demonstrates very clearly, Mr. Raskin, there are a lot of issues with this election that took place. We’re going to go through those today.”
Raskin said “the problem” is that Trump refused to accept defeat and claimed that the Republican Party has “followed him off of the ledge of this electoral lunacy.”

A review of the election results in Arizona’s Maricopa County, the state’s most populous county, conducted by the company Cyber Ninjas found 99 additional votes for Biden and actually found 261 fewer votes for former President Donald Trump.
After reviewing a draft of the report, Maricopa County tweeted, “The [Arizona audit] draft report from Cyber Ninjas confirms the county’s canvass of the 2020 General Election was accurate and the candidates certified as the winners did, in fact, win.”
It added that the draft report “is also littered with errors [and] faulty conclusions about how Maricopa County conducted the 2020 General Election.”
In a statement before the results were released, Trump called the auditors “highly respected.”
And after it was released, he insisted that the review was actually “a big win for democracy and a big win for us.”
