Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany criticizes how her successor handles her job responsibilities by bestowing upon her a two-word nickname.

McEnany took aim at White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki during a segment of Fox’s “Outnumbered” Friday.

She asked, “Do you remember that SNL character Debbie Downer? … Every time I turn on the press briefing, it’s Debbie Downer.”

“You know, Putin’s about to invade, oh he might use chemical weapons, oh expect inflation, oh higher gas prices on the way. It’s like, we didn’t elect you to do the death status quo, read the tea leaves. We elected you to change the status quo. I’m tired of Debbie Downer,” she continued.

Finally, McEnany said, “Make those events not happen by being strong on the world stage and fixing problems here at home.”

McEnany previously criticized Psaki for not answering questions but vowing to “circle back” to them later.

“I wish Jen Psaki all the best, it is a very hard job but that being said, we took great pains in our administration to do hours and hours of research beforehand, days sometimes,” McEnany said last year.

She continued, “I always knew where my boss stood. Unlike other press secretaries who maybe didn’t have walk-in privileges, I could walk in at any time.”

“I always knew where his head was at, so I didn’t have to do a ton of circling back because President Trump gave a lot of access to me,” McEnany added.

After Fox News announced that it was hiring McEnany last year, Psaki was asked if she would be willing to appear on the network if the former press secretary got her own show.

“Sure,” Psaki responded. “I’ve done Fox News Sunday twice now. I’m happy to go on a range of shows.”

She also noted that she appeared on “a few shows” with McEnany while they worked at CNN.

“Like many Americans, we disagree on political issues, but we talked about all sorts of things in the green room,” Psaki said of her predecessor.

She added, “I certainly wish her the best in her future endeavors.”
