Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is not staying silent after late-night host Jimmy Kimmel joked about assaulting the Congresswoman.
The Republican lawmaker fired back at Kimmel on Wednesday evening, revealing she has filed a police report.
“[ABC News], this threat of violence against me by [Jimmy Kimmel] has been filed with the [U.S. Capitol Police],” she tweeted.

Kimmel reacted to Greene’s claim she filed a police report, tweeting, “Officer? I would like to report a joke.”

This comes shortly after Kimmel made headlines after he took a shot at Greene for criticizing Republicans who sided with Democrats in support of Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson in a procedural vote.
On Monday, Greene called Republican Sens. Susan Collins (Maine), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), and Mitt Romney (Utah) “pro-pedophile” after their vote of support for Jackson.
Weighing in, Kimmel said during his show Tuesday, “Sarah Palin, she seems downright quaint compared to the monsters that are in the House like Marjorie Taylor Greene,” as IJR reported on.
He added, “This woman — klan mom — is especially upset with the three Republican senators who said they’ll vote yes on Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson…She tweeted, ‘Murkowski, Collins, and Romney are pro-pedophile. They just voted for KBJ.’”
“Wow, where is Will Smith when you really need him?” Kimmel asked, resulting in applause and laughter from the audience.
The reference to Will Smith refers to when the “Independence Day” actor slapped comedian Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards.

Jada Pinkett Smith has alopecia, which “can affect just your scalp or your entire body, and it can be temporary or permanent,” as Mayo Clinic writes.
Smith won an Oscar for best actor and apologized that night saying, “I want to apologize to the academy. I want to apologize to all my fellow nominees.”
