House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) apparently just cannot help but continue with her childish behavior when it comes to talking about former President Donald Trump.

During an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday, Pelosi pushed back on the notion that Democratic leaders should have seen the potential overturning of Roe v. Wade coming.

Instead of offering any kind of serious, high-minded defense, the California Democrat took the low road and decided to label the 45th president sub-human.

“The point is, I mean, who would have ever suspected that a creature like Donald Trump would become President of the United States, waving a list of judges that he would appoint, therefore getting the support of the far-right, and appointing those anti-freedom justices to the Supreme Court,” Pelosi said.

This is, of course, not the first time Pelosi has disparaged the former president.

In Oct. 2019, Pelosi claimed Trump had a “meltdown” during a meeting at the White House.

Do you think the Trump-Pelosi feud will ever end?

Months later, she very dramatically ripped up Trump’s State of the Union speech after he wrapped up his remarks.

In case you missed it:

“I saw the compilation of falsehoods,” she said about her decision to rip up the speech.

She added, “I started to think, there has to be something that clearly indicates that this is not the truth. And he shredded the truth in his speech, shredded the Constitution in his conduct, so I shredded the ‘state of his mind’ address.”

Pelosi also said she prays “very hard” for Trump because he is “so off the track.”

And last year, she referred to him as a “twice-impeached Florida retiree.”

One could argue that Trump “started” this break with decorum with his bombastic rhetoric and propensity for giving his opponents nicknames and disparaging them.

But the way to return to any kind of “normal” political atmosphere is not to reciprocate and mimic his behavior like a five-year-old.
