Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) reacted to an incident Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) had with a heckler, suggesting she should have thanked him for the “compliment” he gave her.
Greene brought Right-wing instigator Alex Stein on her podcast after the incident.
“You’re a comedian. You’re doing what you do, saying things that are actually quite the compliments,” Greene said.
Stein chimed in, adding, “I was complimenting. She’s Jenny from the block… All I was trying to do is say you look great.”
He claimed he did not mean anything sexual by it.
“I’m just commenting on your beauty. I don’t think that that from me is some sort of negative thing but they live in a society where compliments are bigotry and based in racism and hate,” Stein said.
Greene continued, “I think women should be confident and if a man gives you a compliment, a woman can say thank you. That’s a good thing. Say thank you.”
She argued if Ocasio-Cortez “is going up the stairs and someone’s yelling stuff at her, she can just wave and go on and not go into full outrage.”

Ocasio-Cortez shared a video of the incident on Twitter Thursday, as IJR reported.
“I posted about a deeply disgusting incident that happened today on the Capitol steps, but took it down bc it’s clearly someone seeking extremist fame,” she tweeted.
In case you missed it:
Here is a video he posted of the incident. I was actually walking over to deck him because if no one will protect us then I’ll do it myself but I needed to catch a vote more than a case today pic.twitter.com/RdwCNBDIBb

The congresswoman continued, “It’s just a bummer to work in an institution that openly allowed this, but talking about it only invites more. Just really sad.”
