Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld is reacting to the news that one of his favorite punching bags at CNN is leaving the network.

On Thursday, it was revealed that CNN’s media correspondent Brian Stelter is departing the network, and his show “Reliable Sources” will also be ended.

Shortly after the news broke, Gutfeld tweeted, “Yo [Brian Stelter] – my show is hiring.”

During a segment of “Gutfeld!” he also took several minutes to roast Stelter.

“Happy Thursday, everyone. But it’s really not that happy,” Gutfeld said. “First of all, we have some sad news for this show. Brian Stelter is leaving CNN. Apparently, he wants to spend more time with his food. I kid the popping fresh king. I’m going to miss him. How much? Well, this much.”

Gutfeld then played a montage of him slinging food insults at Stelter.

Watch the video below:

As you might expect, Greg Gutfeld greeted the sad Stelter news with a medley of his food insults. He even worked PBS into the fun by calling him the "chubby grubby Tele-Tubbie."

After the clip, the host asked, “What the hell am I going to do now? First, Chris Cuomo. Then Jeffrey Toobin. And now Stelter. I’m running out of material. If CNN fires Don Lemon, I might actually have to work for a living.”

Gutfeld also pondered what Stelter will do after his CNN gig and once again jokingly suggested he could work for the “Gutfeld!” show.

“Our on-camera chemistry was undeniable,” he added before playing a 2007 clip from his show at the time, “Red Eye,” where Stelter made an appearance.

Finally, Gutfeld said, “That really happened, right? You guys saw that too. I wasn’t just dreaming that.”

Stelter was reportedly informed of the decision of CNN’s decision to cancel his show on Wednesday.

He tweeted, “I loved anchoring [Reliable Sources]. It was a rare privilege to lead a weekly show focused on the press at a time when it has never been more consequential.”

A spokesperson for the network told Fox News Digital, “CNN will end its ‘Reliable Sources’ program on Sunday, August 21st. As a result Brian Stelter will leave the company. We appreciate his contributions to the network and wish him well as he embarks on new endeavors.”
