A rally featuring President Joe Biden appeared to have a small turnout.

Biden hosted a rally with Senate candidate John Fetterman on Monday in Pennsylvania and it appeared that not many showed up for the event.

Senior White House reporter for Bloomberg, Jennifer Jacobs, tweeted photos from the rally.

“Biden is back stage with US Senate candidate John Fetterman ahead of remarks in West Mifflin, a town southeast of Pittsburgh, his 2nd stop on this Labor Day and his 3rd Pennsylvania trip in a week,” Jacobs tweeted.

She added, “Biden, stage left, took off jacket and started subtly rolling up his sleeves as he listened to speakers at this Pennsylvania steelworkers union hall. He applauded when AFL-CIO’s Liz Shuler named Ds ‘we’re going to elect,’ grinned when Marty Walsh called him ‘unbelievably awesome.'”

Users were quick to point out that the turnout was not exactly overwhelming.

“50 people show up for the failed POTUS. How do they handle such large crowds?” one user tweeted.

Another reacted to the photos, saying, “If Trump spoke to a crowd that small the press would insist his political career was dead. How can they keep covering up for Biden? Do they think no one notices?”

Not that I want to, but if I did, I bet I could count all the people on this pic. Try doing that with a President Trump rally? No way you could count the tens of thousands. https://t.co/Qcu321W2oY

Geez the president alone should draw a larger crowd.. https://t.co/VRlq6kZVyD

Pretty weak looking crowd. https://t.co/kaFUb1lMq3

I've seen bigger crowds at a church fish fry.

How many are staff, handlers? How many are voluntarily there? That's all there is? https://t.co/l80hmPhpdf

Wow look at the size of the crowd! So much energy. https://t.co/pFsia5c3ZZ

Ahead of Biden’s visit, Fetterman said he hoped to use the president’s trip to urge him to “finally decriminalize marijuana.”

Fetterman said in a statement, “The president needs to use his executive authority to begin descheduling marijuana, I would love to see him do this prior to his visit to Pittsburgh.”

He added, “This is just common sense and Pennsylvanians overwhelmingly support decriminalizing marijuana.”

Fetterman is up against his Republican opponent, celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz, for Pennsylvania’s Senate seat.

The Washington Post noted Fetterman skipped both of Biden’s events in Pennsylvania last week.
