“One Tree Hill” actress Hilarie Burton reacted to ”Full House” actress Candace Bure’s defense of traditional marriage.
Burton responded to an interview Bure did with the Wall Street Journal, on Nov. 14, where she discussed leaving the Hallmark Channel for Great American Family, (GAC Family).
Bure said it was because they will uphold traditional marriage and not feature same-sex couples in their movies.
“Bigot. I don’t remember Jesus liking hypocrites like Candy. But sure. Make your money, honey. You ride that prejudice wave all the way to the bank,” Burton wrote on her Twitter.
Burton also called out Great American Family CEO Bill Abbott after he said that he is ”aware of the trends” and they will, ”never go there” when referring to same sex couples in their movies.
“Now they’re just openly admitting their bigotry. I called this sh— out years ago when Abbott was at Hallmark. Glad they dumped him. Being LGBTQ isn’t a “trend”, she wrote.
Burton added, ”That guy and his network are disgusting. You too Candy. There is nothing untraditional about same-sex couples.”
Genesis 2:24 says, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Bure has been very outspoken about her Christian faith, telling the Wall Street Journal that it was her reasoning for the switch.
“I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment,” she said.
