Critics are taking issue with a claim made by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) about words.

Jackson Lee made the remark during an interview with MSNBC on Sunday.

“It is very well documented that words nowadays can actually break your bones. Words have generated violence,” Jackson Lee said.

It was not long before the reactions began pouring in.

Podcast host Michael Berry tweeted, “SheJack is a local fixture of foolishness in our town. We have a local library of nonsense parodies about her we’ve made over the years.”

Jackson Lee’s appearance on the network came on the same day she condemned former President Donald Trump’s meeting with Nick Fuentes.

CNN noted Trump hosted “White nationalist and Holocaust denier” Fuentes and rapper Kanye West at Mar-a-Lago.

“There should be a mass condemnation of this horrific and senseless meeting that only shows the world the worst elements of this nation and does not represent the goodness of this nation that we celebrated this past Thanksgiving weekend,” Jackson Lee tweeted in response.

I, for one, will not be silent, it is a fact that your words can hurt, and your words can kill, and the words and actions of this bold anti-Semite and racist will continue to generate threats to the lives of many Americans. Enough is enough!

She added, “I, for one, will not be silent, it is a fact that your words can hurt, and your words can kill, and the words and actions of this bold anti-Semite and racist will continue to generate threats to the lives of many Americans. Enough is enough!”

A source told CNN the former president was engaged with Fuentes and thought he was “very interesting.”

According to the source, at one point, Trump said he “liked” Fuentes.
