Former CIA Director John Brennan declared that Dr. Anthony Fauci is a “national hero” and Twitter users were quick to share their outrage.
Brennan replied to a Tweet posted by Twitter CEO Elon Musk, saying that his pronouns are “Prosecute/Fauci.”
In response, Brennan wrote, “Dr. Fauci is a national hero who will be remembered for generations to come for his innate goodness and many contributions to public health.”
He added, “Despite your business success, you will be remembered most for fueling public hate and divisions. You may have money, but you have no class.”

Despite your business success, you will be remembered most for fueling public hate & divisions.

Several users fired back at Brennan.
Lawyer Jeff Clark tweeted, “Brennan, who falsely tied the now even CBS-authenticated Hunter Biden laptop to a Russian disinfo op, claims [Elon Musk] has no class.”
He continued, “Another example of you can’t make this up. This isn’t a pot calling the kettle black but of the pot trying to call alabaster black. Ridiculous.”

One user asked, “Don’t you have a wedding in the Middle East to drone strike?”

Radio host Dana Loesch argued, “On your watch your agency hacked senate staffers’s emails, spied on whistleblowers, lied to congress about the drone program and the debunked Steele dossier. You are the poster boy for the deep state and no one trusts you.”
She claimed it is “absolutely absurd that the former head of the CIA is arguing with the owner of Twitter over the latter’s opinion of Tony Fauci — but it shows you how valuable this platform is to them.”

Don't worry, @JohnBrennan assures us this assessment comes from reliable and airtight intelligence and not the kind he usually relies upon to get people killed or suppress damaging information. https://t.co/iiFx1SUVRz

No, Fauci will be remembered for his demented obsession with Gain of Function research which drove him to evade Obama & Trump administration rules to commission the reckless experiments in Wuhan that are the most likely origin of the pandemic that killed millions of people. https://t.co/htS5JblHpG

Republican lawmakers previously vowed to call Fauci to testify if they were to launch an investigation into the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“If there are oversight hearings, I absolutely will cooperate fully and testify before the Congress,” Fauci said last month.
He added, “I have no trouble testifying — we can defend and explain everything that we’ve said.”
In August, Fauci announced he would be retiring as the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the end of 2022.
