A suspect has been arrested in connection with the murders of four University of Idaho students, according to law enforcement officials.

The officials confirmed to ABC News that they arrested 25-year-old Bryan Kohberger Friday in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains.

Sources told the outlet authorities knew who they were searching for and tracked him down to Pennsylvania, ABC News reported.

A SWAT team reportedly went into the location where Kohberger was staying.

He later appeared before a judge Friday morning.

Officials are expected to hold a press conference on the arrest Friday afternoon.

On Nov. 13, the students were found stabbed to death at a residence in Moscow, Idaho.

Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves and Xana Kernodle all lived as roommates at the home while the fourth victim, Ethan Chapin, did not live at the residence.

However, as CBS News noted, he was in a relationship with Kernodle.

Moscow Police Capt. Roger Lanier previously recognized there were questions and rumors about the murders circulating online.

“I want to let everybody know that we are still 100% committed to solving this crime,” Lanier said.

He added, “There’s a lot of information to sort through, and the information keeps coming in. Not all of the information is relevant, but you don’t know if a tip is valid until you take the time to examine that tip and see how it relates to other information that you might have.”

Lanier explained, “We want more than just an arrest. We want a conviction. We owe that justice to Xana, Kaylee, Madison and Ethan.”
