Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) has a couple of questions about the investigation into President Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents.
Kennedy appeared on Fox News’ “America Newsroom” Thursday and raised several questions about the investigation.
“I just find all of this surreal. It’s almost like watching a Quentin Tarantino movie,” he said. (starting at 0:02)
Kennedy went on to suggest Attorney General Merrick Garland did not have a choice but to appoint a special counsel in the case in part because “the Justice Department is investigating President Trump for something that President Biden himself may have done.”
“There are a lot of other intriguing questions,” he added.
The first question Kennedy shared is, “Was there a cover-up? The powers that be have known about all this since Nov. 2. It’s now the middle of January. Was there a cover-up? Who was involved?”
“Number two, what’s the role of the University of Pennsylvania Biden Center in all of this?” Kennedy asked.
The Penn Biden Center is reportedly the first location classified documents from Biden’s time as vice president were discovered.
He went on to suggest the center is “not some normal Ivy League think tank.”
“We now know it was a hangout, a clubhouse for President Biden and his people before they were inaugurated, and allegedly it is funded with tens of millions of dollars from China. What’s up with that?,” he added.

The third question Kennedy raised was about the role of the National Archives.
He argued the Archives were “scathingly critical of President Trump and his documents,” but suggested “they’ve been missing in action with respect to President Biden and his documents”
“You couldn’t have found them with a search party. We still haven’t heard from them,” the senator added.
And the last question Kennedy had is whether any members of Congress knew about the documents before their discovery was reported on Monday.
Biden has said he was surprised by the discovery of the documents at the Penn Biden Center.
Meanwhile, some commentators and even a House member have questioned the timing of the revelation of the documents.
