Independent Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s outfit sparked conversation on Twitter.

During an appearance at the World Economic Forum with Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) Tuesday, Sinema wore what appeared to be a vest.

Sinema is no stranger to criticism.

She made waves last month after announcing she would be leaving the Democratic Party, as IJR reported.

“In a natural extension of my service since I was first elected to Congress, I have joined the growing numbers of Arizonans who reject party politics by declaring my independence from the broken partisan system in Washington and formally registering as an Arizona Independent,” Sinema announced.

She added, “Over the past four years, I’ve worked proudly with other Senators in both parties and forged consensus on successful laws helping everyday Arizonans build better lives for themselves and their families.”

Sinema stressed her decision to register as an independent “won’t change my work in the Senate.”

The senator received criticism for her decision from several.

“The View’s” Sunny Hostin suggested Sinema “hurt the Senate” with her move.

“I think Democrats were finally in a position of controlling the Senate 51-49. We were going to get a lot done. And if she wants to talk about getting a lot done, then she should have remained a Democrat so that we can get things done,” Hostin said.

However, the White House said at the time they believe they can still “successfully” work with her.
