Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) briefly took down a listing for signed reports on the January 6 riot after a report on the sale was released.
According to Fox News, the listing was removed on Tuesday evening just after the outlet reported Kinzinger’s PAC was selling signed copies of the report.
Fox News noted Kinzinger later reposted the listing to clarify “all proceeds will benefit charitable organizations working to uphold and defend democracy in America.”
The listing on the website explains, “On January 6, 2021, the United States came perilously close to losing its democracy. A mob instigated by the president of the United States violently attacked the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., seeking to disrupt the certification of the electors in the presidential election and prevent the peaceful transfer of power for the first time in American history.”
It continues, “To uncover the truth of the events, the United States House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol was formed as a bipartisan select committee to investigate the U.S. Capitol attack. This is the official committee report of the investigation into the attack—perhaps the most vital congressional investigation in American history—with exhibits, and witness testimony.”
According to the website, “This hard-bound copy of the historical record is offered as a limited edition and signed by Congressman Adam Kinzinger, who served on the committee. All proceeds benefit the US Capitol Police Memorial Fund.”
The cost of the copy is $100.
Kinzinger was mocked on Twitter for selling the copies.
One user tweeted, “COA: confirmed because signature is smeared from him crying on them.”

Kinzinger left Congress last month and took time during his final floor speech to torch the Republican Party.
“The once great party of Lincoln, Roosevelt, and Reagan has turned its back on the ideals of liberty and self-governance. Instead, it has embraced lies and deceit,” Kinzinger said at the time.
He argued, “The Republican Party used to believe in a big tent, which welcomed the tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to breathe free. Now we shelter the ignorant, the racist – who only stoke anger and hatred to those who are different than us.”
Kinzinger later shared his next career move would be joining CNN as a political commentator.
