Priscilla Presley, mother of the late Lisa Marie Presley, spoke out for the first time since her daughter’s public memorial service.

On Monday, Priscilla Presley took to Twitter and gave an update on how she’s doing.

“Thank you all for your condolences, you have touched me with your words. It has been a very difficult time but just knowing your love is out there makes a difference,” she wrote.

Lisa Marie Presley died on Jan. 12 after suffering a cardiac arrest. She was 54.

Her public memorial was held Sunday at Graceland. During the service, Priscilla Presley shared a message and a poem titled “The Old Soul” about her daughter written by one of her granddaughters.

“I have no idea how to put my mother into words. The truth is, there are too many,” she read.

Lisa Marie Presley’s daughter also referred to her “mama” as “my icon,” “my role model,” and “my superhero.”

Continuing, Priscilla Presley read, “Even now, I can’t get across everything there is to be understood or known about her. But as she always said, ‘I’ll do my best.'”

The poem alluded that Lisa Marie Presley died of a broken heart after the death of her son, Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide in 2020 at the age of 27.

“Time, of course, flew by. It was time for a tragedy. She knew it was close to the end. Survivors guilt, some would say, but a broken heart was the doing of her death,” she continued.

She concluded:

“Now she is home where she always belonged, but my heart is missing her love. She knew that I loved her. I fear I’ll never touch her. But the old soul is always with me. She doesn’t drift above.”

Before leaving the podium, Priscilla Presley thanked everyone for being there.

“Our heart is broken, Lisa, and we all love you,” she said.
