Paris Hilton welcomed a baby boy with husband Carter Reum via a surrogate.
The 41-year-old socialite announced the news on her Instagram page Tuesday.
“You are already loved beyond words,” she wrote in the caption in a photo of her holding her newborn son’s hand.
In an exclusive interview with People, Hilton revealed it has always been her dream to “be a mother.”
“It’s always been my dream to be a mother and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other. We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy,” she said.
She also opened up about going down the route of in vitro fertilization (IVF) with her husband during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We started going and doing it like a few months in because the world was shut down. We knew we wanted to start a family, and I was like, ‘This is perfect timing. Usually, I’m on a plane 250 days out of the year, and let’s just get all of the eggs stocked and ready,’ and we have tons of them just waiting,” she explained.
In December 2022, Hilton spoke with “E! News” Chief Correspondent Keltie Knight at The Hollywood Reporter’s Annual Women in Entertainment presented by Lifetime about her future plans to become a mother.
“We just wanted to really enjoy our first year of marriage together as a couple, and we were always planning on 2023,” she said. “And we’ve just, you know, getting the eggs all ready. They’re all ready and they’re all waiting and excited for them.”
Hilton continued to express her excitement and anticipation and said Reum would “be the best father.”
“I always loved kids, but I just never found the person that I could trust to do that with. But now that I did, I just can’t wait, and he’s gonna be the best father and we’re just gonna have the most magical life together,” she shared.
Hitlon and Reum got married in 2021.
