Reality star Savannah Chrisley opened up about how she and the rest of her family are doing following Todd and Julie Chrisley’s report to prison.

On Jan. 24, Savannah Chrisley opened up her Unlocked podcast episode titled Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Pop-Tarts w/ Unlocked Producer Erin Dugan about the “extremely difficult week” for her family.

“Alright guys, so for those of you that are familiar with my family and have followed our lives and have also followed my podcast, you know that last week was an extremely difficult week for my family as a whole and for each of us individually,” she said.

Continuing, she said, “We kind of had to say goodbye to my parents for somewhat, for a little bit of time, for the foreseeable future, and that was really, really, really tough. And I haven’t filmed a podcast since then.”

She added the Jan. 12 podcast episode was filmed prior to her life “falling apart” and that it may appear “happy-go-lucky” but that was because at the time “there was a lot of hope that was had.”

“And I wasn’t faced with the reality of the situation,” she further explained.

She referred to the episode as “pre-life falling apart.”

On Dec. 27, Savannah Chrisley, 25, spoke about temporarily living life without her parents and “grieving the loss of parents that are still alive.”

“In my mind, I’m like, I can’t move on with my life. Until I know that they’re going to be there, I can’t get married. I can’t have a kid,” she said during the podcast episode.

On Jan. 17, Todd and Julie Chrisley reported to prison after being convicted in June 2022 of “conspiring to defraud Atlanta banks.”

Todd Chrisley, 54, reported to Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida to serve out his 12-year sentence. Julie Chrisley, 50, reported to the Federal Medical Center Lexington in Kentucky to serve out her seven-year sentence.

The couple is also required to complete 16 months of probation after their release.

Currently, Todd and Julie Chrisley are in the process of appealing their case.
