Savannah Chrisley, daughter of Todd and Julie Chrisley, opened up about how she’s coping with the responsibility of raising her siblings after her parents reported to prison.

On Tuesday’s episode of her podcast, Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley, she spoke about having “a full-on breakdown” while helping her 10-year-old niece, Chloe, get ready to go see her parents. Todd and Julie Chrisley had parental rights over their granddaughter before going to prison.

“The other night, I had a full-on breakdown. I was trying to find Chloe proper clothes to go and visit my parents and find her hair stuff. I just sat down on the floor and started crying,” she said.

She explained how she didn’t feel “worthy or capable” of taking her mother’s place.

“I am not my mother. How am I going to do this? I don’t feel that I am worthy or capable enough of doing the job she’s done for all her life,” she added.

Savannah Chrisley, 25, recalled when Chloe gave her some words of encouragement the next day.

“I was sitting there, and the next day Chloe said, ‘You’re doing a pretty good job. I mean, you made me ramen noodles last night,'” she shared.

She then assured her niece that she is going to start planning their meals for their week. Savannah Chrisley is also raising her 16-year-old brother, Grayson.

“From here on out, every Sunday we’re going to plan our meals for the week and you guys tell me what you want for dinner,” she said. “And we’ll get the groceries for the week, and you’ll know every night what you’re going to eat.”

Savannah Chrisley shared that she realized she has been so focused on getting both of them what they need and “you miss so much time worrying about all the other things in the future.”

In January, Todd and Julie were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison after being convicted in June 2022 of “conspiring to defraud Atlanta banks.”
