A contestant on the popular game show “Wheel of Fortune” failed to win a million-dollar prize by just three letters.
A contestant named Micki was just three letters away from taking home the million-dollar wedge as well as a trip to Croatia during an episode of the show Friday night, Fox News reported.
The puzzle read, “A ROARING FIRE IN THE FIRE _ _ A _ E.”
When asked for the letter she wanted to choose, Micki replied, “S.”
Host Pat Sajak responded, “You got the reaction, no ‘S,’ I’m sorry.”
One user asked on Twitter the same night, “Wheel of Fortune poll. Worse flub in recent memory. A) Fregh. B) Fireplace. I’d go B since it changed the entire game.”

Worse flub in recent memory
A) Fregh
B) Fireplace
I'd go B since it changed the entire game.#WheelOfFortune
A user replied, saying, “The fregh tropical fruit one also changed the game. It was a prize puzzle so she also missed out on a vacation.”

Last month, another contestant made headlines after her failure to answer the puzzle correctly went viral.
“I don’t think I’ve ever heard a single audience member audibly have such a violent reaction on Wheel of Fortune, as this lady did when a poor contestant called a G in ‘Fresh,'” one user tweeted.

Sajak addressed the error during the show, saying, “You know when that happens, and you’re sitting at home, you’re saying, ‘How in the world?’ but you know sometimes it’s a word that just doesn’t want to come into focus for you.”
