Fox News’s Shannon Bream tweeted, “Just watched the body cam footage from Nashville shooting, not for the faint of heart. The courage and bravery of those [Metro Nashville PD] officers running straight into the danger and right to the gunfire should inspire everyone of us. They are the literal definition of heroes. The suspect, Audrey Hale, killed three children and three adults during the shooting.
Hale sent her former middle school basketball teammate a message on Instagram before the shooting.
“So basically that post I made on here about you, that was basically a suicide note. I’m planning to die today,” Hale wrote, as NewsChannel 5 reported.
The suspect continued, “THIS IS NOT A JOKE!!! You’ll probably hear about me on the news after I die.”
The message goes on, “This is my last goodbye. I love you … See you again in another life. Audrey (Aiden).”
It was confirmed that Hale identified as transgender.
