Former President Donald Trump is ripping into President Joe Biden with a brutal imitation of moments when he seems utterly confused or lost.

During an event in New Hampshire, Trump lambasted Biden over several incidents when he appeared to be confused about where he should go.

“You’d think at least one time he’d get up and say, ‘I’m running for president — where am I going? Where the hell am I going? I wanna get out,'” the former president said.

He wandered around the stage mimicking Biden’s stiff gait.

Trump then started waving his arms around in an apparent imitation of Biden seeking directions as to where he should go.

In September, Biden delivered remarks at The Global Fund. After his speech, he appeared to be attempting to signal to people off-stage to get directions as to where he should go.

A similar incident occurred in July during the president’s trip to Israel.

It’s no secret Trump thinks very lowly of his successor. During a presidential debate in 2020, he called Biden “stupid” to his face. And it does not appear Trump is going to be treating him with much respect or civility.

But while irreverent, it seems the former president — at least on the campaign trail — is trying to copy some of his playbook from 2016. Along with reviving brutal imitations, he also seemed to reach back to 2016 for a new nickname: “Crooked Joe Biden.”

Trump’s imitation will likely be ghastly for some, but it is a revival of the same kind of behavior from his first campaign that helped led people to laugh and find him entertaining while also somewhat relatable — and not just a plastic and carefully scripted elite politician.

Whether or not people have had enough of this, time will tell. But the crowd seemed to be eating it up based on the reactions heard in the video.

And this version of Trump, along with the one we saw last week when he visited a pizzeria and was seen laughing and smiling — and where he jokingly asked “Does anybody want a piece that I’ve eaten?” — can be light-hearted and fun.

But what we see of Trump online where he is screaming in posts on Truth Social about “stollen” elections and accusing Special Counsel Jack Smith of trying to “interfere with the 2020 presidential election,” is the version that makes people just think, “What… is he OK?”

Those posts are just, frankly, kind of strange and laden with grievances mostly about himself, making it hard for people to really connect with him.

If even skeptical voters see more of the fun Trump and less of the angry, screaming online Trump, he could have an even better shot at easily locking up the nomination.
