A conservative activist went viral on Twitter for throwing multiple pizzas at New York City Hall following its proposal to control emissions from coal-and-wood-fired ovens.

On Monday, Scott LoBaido protested against the crackdown by flinging slices of cheese pizza across the City Hall fence in a viral video posted to his Twitter page.

“The woke-a** idiots who run this city are doing everything in their power to destroy it,” he said as he stood outside the gates.

“We have naked men with their t**ies bouncing around all over this city yesterday, in public, in front of children,” LoBaido ranted. “We have the most violent, raging crime rate ever.”

He added, “We are being invaded by illegal immigrants who are being treated way better than our homeless veterans.”

Furthermore, he mentioned the teachers and first responders who were fired for not taking the COVID-19 vaccine spearheaded by Dr. Anthony Fauci, who served as chief medical advisor to President Joe Biden.

“Our city schools produce the dumbest kids and the woke a** punks who run New York S****y are afraid of pizza? The world used to respect New Yorkers as tough, thick-skinned, and gritty,” LoBaido continued.

He proceeded to call the crackdown “a damn shame” and compared his demonstration to the Boston Tea Party, calling it “the New York Pizza Party.”

“Give us pizza or give us death!” LoBaido chanted as he threw the slices of pizza over the gates.

He also accused New York City of “destroying every small business.”

“Can’t have a small business? Can’t have pizza? New York City is nothing without pizza,” LoBaido expressed. Shortly after, he was stopped by NYPD officers.

This came after the New York City Department of Environmental Protection proposed a new rule that will require eateries using coal-and-wood-fired ovens to cut carbon emissions by up to 75%, per the New York Post.

If the mandate is enforced, pizzeria owners may be required to purchase costly emission-control devices for ovens installed before May 2016.

“All New Yorkers deserve to breathe healthy air and wood and coal-fired stoves are among the largest contributors of harmful pollutants in neighborhoods with poor air quality,” Ted Timbers, spokesman for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, said in a statement shared with the Post.

He added, “This common-sense rule, developed with restaurant and environmental justice groups, requires a professional review of whether installing emission controls is feasible.”
