Tucker Carlson called out New Jersey Governor Chris Christie on Twitter.
Sounds like this could use a longer conversation. We just asked @GovChristie to sit down and explain his views on Ukraine. He refused. You hate to think that Chris Christie is a blustery coward who plays the tough guy with sycophants at ABC but won’t answer real questions, but… pic.twitter.com/6khc5xi3Co

He noted, “We just asked @GovChristie to sit down and explain his views on Ukraine. He refused.”
This is in response to an interview Christie did Sunday with George Stephanopoulos on ABC News. In the interview, Stephanopoulos noted Christie did not attend an Iowa GOP presidential forum hosted by Carlson Friday, and then Christie was asked how he would have responded to Carlson about Ukraine.
He said, “I would have said, ‘You’ve always been wrong about this Tucker and you’re still wrong’.”
Christie called the war in Ukraine a “proxy war with China.”
Carlson has long voiced his opposition to the United States’ support of Ukraine since Russia’s invasion.
Carlson noted Christie’s choice to decline his invitation for an interview in his tweet stating, “You hate to think that Chris Christie is a blustery coward who plays the tough guy with sycophants at ABC but won’t answer real questions, but who knows?”
Hey @GovChristie — I just learned that you turned down a 1-on-1 interview with @TuckerCarlson

If you aren’t prepared to sit in a chair across from Tucker, you certainly aren’t prepared to sit in the chair behind the Resolute Desk.
I hope you’ll reconsider Tucker’s offer.
Arizona Gubernatorial candidate, Kari Lake, chimed in on the situation. She wrote, “If you aren’t prepared to sit in a chair across from Tucker, you certainly aren’t prepared to sit in the chair behind the Resolute Desk. I hope you’ll reconsider Tucker’s offer.”
After what you did to those Presidential candidates in Iowa at the #blazemediasummit I'm sure Chris Christie is terrified of you!

Chris Christie is indeed a “blustery coward.”

He saw how easily Tucker Carlson destroyed GOP candidates like Asa Hutchinson.
Christie knows he has no chance winning the nomination.
He wants to preserve his image for future employment.
Being embarrassed by Tucker is a no-go.
